Still concerned that 168 million children are engaged in child labour, with half of
that number working in the worst forms of labour, that 5.5 million children are in forced
labour, that nearly 50 million children are at increased risk of child labour, modern slavery
and human trafficking, and that the worst forms of exploitation of child labour by
transnational corporations and other business enterprises, as well as by private military and
security companies, continue to rise at an alarming rate,
