Report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the latest developments in the United Nations relating to combating trafficking in persons as well as on the activities of the Office on this issue
Note by the secretariat
Pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 8/12, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights was requested to submit a report to the Council at its ninth session on the latest developments in the United Nations relating to combating trafficking in persons as well as on the activities of the Office on this issue, including a presentation of the Recommended Principles and Guidelines on Human Rights and Human Trafficking developed by the Office. This report will instead be submitted at the tenth session of the Council to ensure that a comprehensive overview of the developments on trafficking in the United Nations system is provided and distributed well in advance of the tenth session.
